I offer a wide variety of Mind and Body therapies and services from Conception to birth and beyond as a Complementary therapist, Reiki Teacher and Hypnotherapist with many years of experience.

I practise at the Rosemount Centre in Aberdeen where I also hold my Hypnobirthing Course, Baby Massage, Baby Reflexology classes and Reiki Workshops.

My own deliveries were very much in the clinical style in 1986 and 1990 and even though I requested a more holistic approach – it wasn’t really an option in those days. Hypnobirthing is very close to my heart and I want mothers to feel in control of their deliveries and to have the best birth experience possible.

I suffered terribly from Postnatal Depression at a time when it wasn’t really recognised and it did take the ‘shine’ off being a mother. I want to be able to help other mothers to avoid going through this experience  so I have started to ‘specialise’ in this area with a few extra training courses.

I am a mother of two and a grandmother of one and had the great pleasure of being with my daughter to see him being born and cut his cord.

I have always had a keen interest in babies , birthing and young children and was a registered Child-minder for a few years before my daughter went to school.

I did some Hypnotherapy training with David Kato in Hypnosis for Childbirth, Depression and CBT in 2007 and also the Fertile Body Method training with Sjanie Hugo Wurlitzer in London in 2010.

I also underwent a training course in HypnoBirthing with Renee Buchanan in the Marie Mongon style in 2010, then again as a B-Back Refresher a year later on another course. It was around this time that my grandson was born and I was fascinated by the beautiful placenta – our ‘Tree of Life’

I then furthered my Hypnobirthing knowledge by becoming a KG HypnoBirthing Practitioner in 2014 and I was very fortunate to have trained with Katharine Graves herself.

She is highly experienced having trained in both the Mongon method, the Leclaire method and as a Doula with Michel Odent who is the leading obstetrician who started Water Births.

Both styles of training are excellent and I will use this combined training in my courses. KG Hypnobirthing is however more UK-based – a complete in-depth antenatal training programme and accredited by the Royal College of Midwives.

I also prefer the flexibility that we have as Hypnobirthing Practitioners, the support given by Katharine personally and the Organisation as a whole. I completed the training course again as a refresher to keep up-to-date with some new teaching in 2017.

I underwent the Intensive Pro-training casting course with The Edinburgh Studio with the intention of offering a variety of Unique Placenta Casts, Belly casts, Baby pods, Couples hands, family wreath of hands, as well as Baby hands and Feet.

I am also a fully qualified Placenta Encapsulation Specialist offering Capsules, Smoothies, Tinctures, Homeopathic Remedies, Creams and Balms, Placenta Prints and Cord Keepsakes. I completed my training with IPEN

September and October will be busy months as I will doing  my Breastfeeding and Doula Preparation Training Course as well as a Bespoke one-to-one Placenta Cosmetic Workshop specialising in Balms and Lotions.

I will also be embarking on my Fertility Massage training  and then in November, I will continuing on my Advanced Doula journey with  Red Tent Doulas.

In December I will be doing the Traumatic Birth Recovery Training
